Meet the family behind Lambs Valley Wines

Hi, we are David & Clare MacDougal.

Together with our three sons, Lachlan, Callum and Stuart, and our loveable dogs, Bella and Dog, we live and work in our very own valley of dreams.

Lambs Valley is 15km of pristine land nestled in Australia’s oldest wine country, the incomparable Hunter Valley in NSW. But to us, Lambs Valley is simply home. We feel a real sense of place here with the like-minded community who have quickly become our mentors and friends. It’s where we have chosen to raise our growing family. And it’s the perfect place to pursue our dream of making our own bespoke, small-batch wine.

We consider our vineyard an extension of our garden and we take pride in caring for our vines by hand. Our vintage is celebrated with our close friends and family - many of whom will happily rise early and travel the distance to help us pick grapes. Afterwards we relax with some well-earned food, drink and laughter. It’s a really special day for us and helps set the tone for the year ahead.

This culmination of our family, friends and community supporting each others’ dreams, maintaining integrity and a strong sense of character, all while respecting our place in this beautiful part of the world is everything Lambs Valley Wines represents.
